Rossi Lighting Design Studio

Lighting design studio, founded in Milan by Giacomo Rossi, architect, with over 12 years experience in lighting design field.
The lighting project is developed organically, by taking in cosideration both the technical and emotional aspects of the deign process. The objective is achieved through an advanced and multidisciplinary design, sensitive to the different aspect of light, not only the technical part, capable to meet the needs of the people, the living space problems and the modern environmental sustainability requirements.
Since January 2016 Rossilighting is part of LDT-Lighting Design Team, a multidisciplinary team of lighting designers made of independent professionals, who have been working for years in the field of lighting design.
The focus of the studio is on all the application fields involving light, including:
-product design
-public area and architectural lighting
-lighting of the heritage buildings
-shop lighting

After graduating in architecture in 1999, joins the Studio Ferrara Palladino, former Studio LED, in Milan, working as a Project Manager on a wide range of projects. Since 2000 he is also teaches lighting design at Politecnico di Milano and at diverse design schools, among which IED Istituto Europeo di Design and ISAD Istituto Superiore di Architettura e Design.
In 2007, founded Luxemozione.com, first Italian blog about lighting design.
In 2010, joined Martini Illuminazione as a coordinator and management of the lighting consulting department.
In 2011, founded the Rossi Lighting design studio, focusing his skills on architectural and interior lighting design.
In 2013, together with other colleagues, founded the Italian Lighting Design Promotion group on Facebook , with  over 4200 active members, forum for raising awareness in lighting design.
Since 2014 Giacomo Rossi is council member of APIL – Associazione dei Professionisti dell’Illuminazione.
He is also author of a number of articles on lighting design magazines, such as Luce & Design and LED-in magazine.
